Spring.Covid again all summer. We spent the summer selling from our trailer and our show tanks. All the Koi shows were cancelled again exept St Louis show which was held in September.I dug out the area by the highway. The right pond got filled with our first spawns of the year which were Yamabuki, Beni KikoKuryu, Sanke, and Shiro Utsuri. The left pond is a water retention pond to capture water during heavy rains to prevent flooding.The willow pond was harvested and refilled. We placed Budo Goromo and Shiro Matsuba in this pond to spawn.I expanded the size of the cull pond. This pond is full of koi which have a color which doesnt sell well.I expanded the size of the grow-out pond and added an island with a mulberry tree on it. This pond has around 100 high quality 3 year old koi growing in it.Martha and I did a harvest on the sand pit pond.We harvested the remaining fish from the sand pit pond, drained and sterilized it. It will be ready for a new spawn 2022.
